Ir. James Sung Chen Lee
James Sung Chen Lee graduated with Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from University of Western Australia, and has more than 35 years working experience in the building services industry.
He started his career with KTA (S) Sdn Bhd in 1983, and migrated to Australia in 1989 where he worked with Lincolne Scott Pty Ltd. He migrated back to Malaysia and joined Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd in 1991. In 1992, he started and headed Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd branch office in Kuching, Sarawak, overseeing the design, construction and completion of various hotel projects, including the Petronas Carigali Operations Building in Miri.
He was back to Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd headoffice in 1996, and was involved as project manager and lead engineer for various projects, including KLIA Satellite Building, Serdang Hospital and Silterra Wafer Plant in Kulim, Kedah (where he was part of the team attached to the lead consultant, ADP Marshall’s office in USA during preliminary design).
He joined Sarahill (S) Sdn Bhd (previously RBSB branch office) in 2006, as their Technical Director.
In 2009, appointed as the Engineering/Construction Manager for KBK-CNA-Al Hani Consortium involved in the construction of the Meydan Racecourse Project in Dubai, he was responsible for the design and construction of infrastructure and M&E works (for a fully air conditioned Grandstand building of 220,000m2). He successfully installed an outdoor Mitsubishi LED Screen measuring108m (w) x 11m (h), one of the largest in the world.
He re-joined Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd in 2010, and in 2017 was appointed a Director of Ranhill Consulting (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd.
Currently, he is Sector Director for Building Services.
