Ainul Hafizan Abdul Hafiz
Ainul Hafizan holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from London
South Bank University, United Kingdom, a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from
Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom and a Master of Science
degree in Integrated Construction Project Management from UiTM. He has over 30 years of
experience in quantity surveying, contracts & procurement, privatisation of infrastructure
projects, highway concession management, strategic planning and project management.
He started his career as Quantity Surveyor with several consultant firms in London including
Walker Richardson and Davis Langdon & Everest. In 1992 he joined the Renong-UEM Group
conglomerate before moving to KUB Holdings Berhad in 1994 as Manager, Operations
Division (Corporate Planning). In 1995 he served Intria Berhad (later renamed UEM Builders
Berhad) and was appointed Head of Contracts to Renong Group’s strategic business units,
Mekar Bina SA and Autopista Morón SA in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He played key roles in the areas of procurement and contracts management, privatisation of
infrastructure projects and business development with UEM Builders Berhad and UEM
Group. His other roles include Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Procurement, Success
Converge under UEM World Berhad and Head of Concession Monitoring, Planning &
Development Division, PLUS Expressways Berhad. In 2005 he was appointed Head of
Business Development and subsequently, Head of Procurement Division (IBS-Iconsis), UEM
He served on the board of several subsidiary companies of UEM Builders Berhad, and was
the Executive Director of Tilford Green Sdn Bhd.
